It’s that time of year, folks. We get to go all out dressing up our dogs and nobody can judge us, because, well, all the cool kids are doing it! Here at Fitdog, we get really excited about
Halloween Howl-o-ween, so we’ve searched the web for some of our favorite costumes. Although it was nearly impossible to narrow down, we’ve chosen five of our favorites:
Who’s not a sucker for some ’80s nostalgia? As this film comes up on its 30th anniversary of release, we’d love to see some of these suave zombies strutting their stuff. This is a perfect costume for a troupe of four: Grab your Lydia, your Barbara, and your Adam and tell your pup to shake, shake, shake señora…
We’ve seen hot dogs, tacos, and corn on the cob, but this is our first year seeing doggie sushi. Hands down the most delicious costume on our list this year, this website stocks a range of sizes, making this sushi costume accessible for everyone from Shih tzuhs to mastiffs.
Take it back to the land before time and dress your dog up as a raptor! Their big head and tiny arms are sure to be a hit on the trick-or-treat circuit. A big bonus with this costume is the easy potty access because as Jurassic Park’s Ian Malcolm says, “When you gotta go, you gotta go.”
Bride of Frankenweenie
If your dog is tolerant of wearing things on their head, this is an iconic costume that is sure to stand out. Dress up your little lady in this cult classic look– who knows, maybe she will find her Frankenweenie and sparks will fly!
Do you have multiple dogs? You can get an entire gang of flying monkeys together to take out on Halloween with the rest of your crew from Oz. Just make sure you don’t give them any buckets of water to throw…
Once you’ve picked the perfect costume for your dog, you can enter our Howl-o-ween contest by posting a picture on Instagram, tagging #fitdoghowloween17 or dropping the photo in our woobox. We can’t wait to see what spooky costumes you come up with!
