Hours of Operations

  • Everyday 7am – 9pm
  • Although there is a staff member present 24 hours a day, all boarded dogs must be picked up by 9pm. Overnight staff is not permitted to release dogs after 9pm
  • All daycare dogs must be picked up by closing time (9pm), or they will be required to spend the night and charged the overnight boarding rate

Checking In

  • Have your dog ON-LEASH when entering the reception area. This is an important step in maintaining a safe environment
  • Communicate any special needs your dog may have which will help us to care for them. For example: allergies, hot spots, wounds, fear, TLC, ball playing, squeaky toys, etc.
    Make sure to shut all doors securely behind you for the safety of all dogs
  • Label all of your dog’ s personal belongings clearly, including their leash, food and any medication
  • Report any feedback, strange behaviors, or illnesses immediately. It is important for us to be aware for the health and safety of all dogs
  • Clearly write down all medication, special needs, etc.
  • Clearly indicate feeding instructions (i.e. time of day, amount, etc.) You may provide food, or we can provide food for an additional fee
  • If requesting an exit bath, please indicate the approximate time you will be picking up your dog. We will try to bathe your dog as close to the pick-up time as possible
  • Let us know the time you will be picking up your dog

Daycare

  • All daycare packages are non-refundable and non-transferable to other customers or for other services or retail purchases
  • Monthly daycare packages such as the Fitpuppy Special and Monthly Unlimited expire 30 days from issuance. Expiry dates can not be extended for any reason
  • 20-day and 10-day packages expire 1 year from issuance
  • Half day rates apply for any period under 5 hours; full day rates apply for any period over 5 hours; hourly rate is applied for full hour periods only, half hour rates are not available

Boarding

  • Due to limited storage space, please bring only the amount of food needed for your dog’s stay. 20 pound or larger bags of food will only be accepted if your dog is here for an extended time period
  • We highly recommend that you bring your own food when boarding your dog as new food can cause diarrhea for some dogs
  • Make sure to label all belongings, including food bags, with your dog’s name
  • If you are dropping off multiple dogs, please indicate if they need to be fed separately, and if you would like them to stay together
  • Indicate if you want your dog bathed upon departure. We recommend baths for dogs staying over four days
  • Check out time is 12pm. Late checkout fee is $30
  • Boarding reservations are subject to a 24-hour cancellation policy. If you cancel within 24 hours of your reservation, you will be charged in full for the first night
  • Holiday boarding reservations are subject to a 48-hour cancellation policy and may require a 50% deposit at the time of the reservation. If you cancel a holiday boarding reservation, you will be charge in full for your first two nights of your reservation

Vaccinations & Records

  • All dogs must be current on required vaccinations. Please make sure to give us any updated vaccination records
  • If your vaccinations have expired, your dog will not be allowed to participate in any activities or services. NO EXCEPTIONS. This is important to maintaining a safe environment for all dogs
    Although all dogs must be vaccinated, and we disinfect daily, it is still possible for your dog to contract a virus or bacteria. For this reason, it is important for you to communicate any illness or irregularities you notice with your dog

Medical Procedures

  • All dogs are screened for aggression and dog handlers are always monitoring play activities, however fights can still occur. It is also possible for puncture wounds to happen during play sessions or for dogs to experience other injuries such as sprains, strains, broken nails, etc.
  • In the event of an injury, if we deem necessary, we will bring any dogs needing medical attention to the VCA Santa Monica Dog & Cat Hospital immediately. An incident report will be filed
  • If a dog is responsible for inflicting the wound or causing injury, that dog’s owner will incur all veterinarian bills
  • If the injury is not the result of another dog (e.g. strain, broken nail, general play, etc.), you will be responsible for your the veterinarian bills for your dog

Cancellation Policies

  • All services requiring reservations such as boarding, grooming and training are subject to a cancellation policy with applicable fees
  • Boarding Reservations canceled within 24 hours will be charged for the first night of the reservation
  • Holiday Boarding Reservations canceled within 48 hours will be charged for the first two nights of the reservation
